How To Remove OneDrive From File Explorer In Windows 10

Many things in life come unasked and so is true with options in Windows, whether you like it or not they are there to stay. One such option is OneDrive, sitting on the left pane of your File Explorer. Well, for some reason if you don’t like it there and want it removed you have come to the right place. Note that this will not uninstall OneDrive but only remove the shortcut.

  • Step 1- Open Run Command (Ctrl+R) and type “regedit” then Press OK.

  • Step 2- Next, Open the Find (Ctrl+F) dialog and paste the following entry

    018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6

                          Click “Find Next” to start a search.

  • Step 3- Now you should be treated with a screen as shown in the image below. Double Click on “System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree”.

  • Step 4- Change the “Value data” from 1 to 0 and Voila! OneDrive is gone.

Note- If you want OneDrive option back in future repeat the same steps but change value from 0 to 1.
