Do you hate that every time your PC opens up after a shutdown or wakes up from a sleep, it requires you to sign it with your password. If yes, then my friend, Kernel Ketchup has a nifty little trick up its sleeve that Microsoft Windows dropped in as a part of cumulative update for Windows 10 a few weeks ago. The feature called dynamic lock uses your phone to keep your PC unlocked as long as you’re i.e. your phone is in the range using Bluetooth & automatically locks it when you’re away. So all the smarty pants go and wander around in the sign in options & figure it out for yourself, while rest of the crowd should bear me a little longer for two easy steps.
Step 1: Pair your smartphone (Android, iOS or even Windows Phone) to your Windows 10 PC using Bluetooth option found under Settings >> Devices >> Bluetooth & Other Devices >> Add.
Step 2: Go to Settings >> Accounts >> Sign-in Options >> Dynamic Lock. Tick the checkbox that says Allow Windows to detect when you’re away and lock the device.
That’s it. Although please note that it takes 30 seconds to lock the device when you’re away. Now feel free to leisure up even more till the point we make Wall-E a reality.
